'Mise-en-scène for the image' is a video composed of the intersection of two sequences: on one hand, a man and a woman together, almost still as if posing, accompanied by the sound of a series of dialogues; on the other, a projection of slide photographs deteriorated by time.
The scenes of the couple (7 arranged performances) were shot as classical dark photographs, in a minimalist light setting and body movements.
This film constructs the narrative of a love affair in dissolution, and addresses the resistance of memory to the passing of time and its inevitable transformation throughout new individual experiences. It disjoints the filmic/narrative construction of 'a love affair' in order to fix the tension of the impossibility of stopping time and its manipulation of emotions.
